WHO WE ARE

We are Utah’s housing and houseless advocates, renters, case managers, service providers, organizers, community health workers/promotoras, social workers, social justice advocates, and other Utahns who came together to create the Renters Justice Coalition.

The Renters Justice Coalition (RJC) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity organization incorporated and recognized on June 21, 2023.

GOALS

Educate and empower renters regarding rights, responsibilities, and the potential for better, more equitable, and fairer residential living conditions.

Guide and support the creation of tenant organizations state-wide, regionally, and locally in Utah.

Unite renters to self-advocate and to guide the advocacy of staff and allies.

Build coalitions across the state to improve renters’ and manufactured homeowners’ living conditions in order to achieve economic stability and financial prosperity.
